W12 VW Phaeton for $7000? NPOCP?

W12 Phaeton for sale in Brooklyn for $7000. 114,000 miles, it's got a free carfax report with a pretty extensive service history. Engine was replaced somewhere between 50k and 54k miles. Dealer is also offering to sell you a "Lifetime warranty" for whatever that is worth. No details on the car other than the carfax and the photos, but it looks like it's in good shape. What say oppo? This seems like it would be a fun car to buy, drive for like 5-10k mile and then then hopefully sell again before something goes horrifically wrong.

Those wheels are horrendous and you may need a separate savings account just in case it implodes but for 7K I'd say NP.

Also if it needed a second engine at 54k, and it has 114k it's 6k over due for a third...

$7000 for a car you could use for parts and maintenance is... actually a pretty good deal. I imagine you could use whatever you needed to keep your own Phaeton running, and then sell off the rest at a profit.
